Our Teachers

Betsy Manganello and Helen Anderson have been co-teaching at Village Nursery School since 2007. Both former VNS parents, Betsy and Helen are passionate about the co-operative preschool model and the enormous benefits of outside education.

Betsy holds a Master degree in Teaching & Learning. She has worked as a middle school art educator and at the Children's Museum prior to Village Nursery School. 

Helen holds a Master of Social Work degree. As a clinical social worker Helen assisted young families navigating the challenges of a Newborn Intensive Care Unit. Helen also has experience as a public health educator, K-5 art teacher and ski instructor.

As parents and teachers, Betsy and Helen are committed to preserving and enhancing the unique qualities and developmentally appropriate nature of the Village Nursery School experience.
